MNIK - First Day First Show!

I am not a ShahRukh Khan Fan! neither a Karan Johar Fan! n very clear about it.

All the show sha and hoo haa by the double ass SS and more importantly the not bowing down to those morons by SRK is what prompted me to consider to make it a point to watch the movie!

Nah even then hadn't thougth about hitting the Cinema Hall (Multiplex to the Dim Gen Next). But it so happened that it was a Friday and it was a holiday on account of Maha Shiv Ratri (first time ever it was that had got this holiday at work). A jumma and a Maha Shiv Ratri wow! what a combination day for a Picture Release. Assoo!

11.30am appoitment at the Dentist done by 12.00noon (yeah! quiet quick for a Dentist appointment isnt it ;-) and I set out on my Dhanno. Just on a whim moved straight (instead of turning left opposite Sahara Studio) towards Cinemax.What I saw there was hilarious at the same time anger inducing. A posse of police men sat at the gate of Cinemax and the Security guard there when asked if the booking was on, said no screenings happening. This when there is just a wall seperating Goregaon West Police Stn and Cinemax Goregaon West. What a shame! and what utter nonsense. Maybe the police was vary that if anything untoward were to happen at this particular Cinemax on account of MNIK screenig then they would not be able to give the excuse that precious time was lost outreaching the place since they were just next door literally. Asso!

No Show at Cinemax egged me further to go to In-Orbit Fame Malad. Wow! what a site, 2 police vans outside the Hypercity & In-Orbit main gate. One van on the landing of the Main entrance of In-Orbit. Entring the mall from the lifestyle side entrance and was met with another half a dozen police men some with walkie talkies, some with canes and some with those riot time helmets. Entry to the mall so far so good. Up at level 2 of the mall outside Fame Cinema another few uniformed police personnel. Asked if the show was happening got the answer in the affirmitive :-) well! well! ticket Rs.280/- well! well! well! (the things one has to do to support the freedom of speech of a Film Star).

Once Inside the Multiplex, had to click some photo so here is what I could manage.

With the at hand help of the lady manning the Cloak Room! Yup thats where the photo was clicked. As outside in the foyer I had a policeman come upto me and question me as to what I was clicking, so I offered him the Camera to check for himself. He asked about me laughing, to which I said I was wondering if I was in Bombay or Lebanon /Beriut.

Once inside for the actual screening, I was aprehensive, looking at the entrance time and again. Yes! this is what the Assess of the 2 SSs have done to my beloved BOMBAY! not only that they took my Camera away! wonder what I was going to do make a Pirated copy of the movie ?;-P

The Movie was okay! not stupendous, not bad but just fine!

As for me it was a First Again! First Day First Show - My name is Khan!

For one it gave me a voracious appetite! for having my own way! not that it was something new to me, but as in case of advertising - New, Improved, Renewed whatever you would like to call it I was egged on. Food for thought! and of course incentive to go for some food.
