This happened to me after 15 years of service in the organisation, it is going to happen with many!

I joined Learnet India Ltd a fully owned Subsidiary of IL&FS on 1st September 2003, was made an Employee on 1st May 2004. On 1st August 2007 Learnet India Ltd merged into IETS Ltd.

Today Head HR of my company (IL&FS Education also known as IETS Ltd) spoke to me - painful decision, pressure from IL&FS new board to cut down costs, costs being cut at all levels including cutting down on people Pan India. blah blah blah, notice period 1 month, which I said I will consider to be January 2019 and leave end of Jan'19. He said he thought Dec'18 He said on his part he will offer me medical coverage till end of March 2019. I have insisted on getting the letter from the company informing me of the reason of the decision taken. He wants me to think over and let him know on Monday about the letter and the notice period start date. This happened to me after 15 years of service in the organisation, it is going to happen with many.

All this because of the non-meeting of financial commitments by IL&FS the parent company which was greatly caused by delayed/non-payments by State/Central Government Projects. But the media was all about how IL&FS did not honor its commitments, not a word about who caused it or why things reached this stage.

Not all may be able to handle the news of being eased out of the company, there will definitely be cases of depression, addiction and god forbid suicides. 

This can still be avoided if the Media takes the initiative of bringing out the other side of the story. Bhakts may please excuse, since you are too busy with murtis and mandirs!
So what if following in the footsteps of the farmers now corporate workers also resort to suicide.

Yesterday saw a video on Facebook, supposedly of a convocation in Kashmir where it showed a hall where youth in convocation attire are sitting and chit chatting a lone guy is standing a screen in front on the stage is showing a different gathering and the instumental of our National Anthem is being heard.

The caption/message was -
see how they have no respect for the Indian National Anthem.

Today sitting at home I went over our National anthem which mentions - Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha, Dravid, Uchal/Utkal, Banga, Vindhya, Himachal, Yamuna, Ganga' (Have I missed out on any place🤔) 

Got me wondering when the East, West, South was covered why was Jammu Kashmir left out? 

If the argument is that the Indian National Anthem was composed before the inclusion of Jammu & Kashmir in United India, then after taking J&K into the Indian Republic and facing the aloofness or estranged behaviour of the Kashmiris, could an attempt have been made in including J&K in anything and everything that conveys or is understood as symbolic of India. 

*Note* I am not a Historian so please feel free to correct my understanding of Indian History, Dates&Events.

After abandoning my non starting Activa at Chakala bus stop (in the lane coming from Holy Family Church towards Chakala Cigarette factory) took the bus (359 limited at 7:57pm - Chakala to Sahara) home.

Alighted at the Ram Mandir signal on S.V Road at around 9:15 pm or so and started walking towards BEST Nagar, As I was passing the Pearl Society gate noticed an Innova slow down and very very slowly move to the left of the road, I moved to the centre of the road and continued walking close to the divider, as the road turned right I turned too and just then two hands held my shoulders from behind and a face appeared on my right shoulder side asking me to walk on the flooded side of the road, he said he was a policeman, when I said I could break my leg walking in the part of the flooded road where I couldn't see it, he said he was requesting me for my own good and offered to drop me in his vehicle (the Innova which had slowed down earlier and had a person in the drivers seat) I declined saying i stayed just round the corner. The road was flooded, the rain was continuing, the lighting was bad and people and vehicles on the road were sparse. I started asking him from which police station he was, he said MIDC, he introduced himself as Nitin and shook hands with me, I also gave my name to him. All this while I could smell alcohol on his breath. I continued to walk actually wade thru ankle deep water with him by my side with as good as absolutely no personal space in between,

I asked about the 8 hr duty which was supposed to happen for the Mumbai Police, I asked about his years of service and where did he do his training, he replied by saying they were hopeful for the 8 hrs duty thing happening, about his service he said 28 years which i said wasn't possible as that could possibly be his age. We turned left onto the road which comes to my house at BEST Colony, he said he was a bit confused he had 12 yrs of service and his training was in Bombay, I asked Naigaon? he said yes and seem to have realised we were walking into fairly brightly lit area and suddenly out of the blue in butler English asked me if he could Kiss me???? I hurled an abuse and said 'tabiyat ka maar khayega, ye mera area hai, tu rahega MIDC ka'. He was taken aback. stopped and then I walked away clutching my bag ready to swing it if need be, and I think he walked back too, in the mean time all rattled I reached Sunils Krishna laundry (Gyaneshwar Nagar) narrated the incident to him and his wife and asked him if he had Goregaon Police station number, he said he did not, thankfully i found the number in my cell phone I called 02228721900 at 9:25pm and spoke for 1 min 42 secs trying to explain the situation and wanting them to send a beat marshal or somebody to the location so that no other innocent one is caught by the beast (What if I had accepted the lift he had offered) the person at the other end either could not hear me properly due to the heavy rain or was in an off duty mode (we will give benefit of doubt and think it is the former) said if I had a complaint I should come to the Police station. I flew into a rage and he kept the phone down.

I tried calling my contacts - Nitin Gupta - Akhil Bharatiya Sena - Mumbai North West Zilla Adhyaksh who had said Goregaon Police Stn senior is known to him, Jeevandas Moolya - Founder Member We for You Association and on his direction Sifu Rajikumar G. N.- Founder Member Shaolin Association of Black Panther Commandos to know if they had any contact with the Goregaon Police Station and if they could send some help so nothing untoward would happen. but incase of the first one the call didn't go through, the 2nd one asked for the gaadi number which I had not taken as I hadn't expected something like this to happen and the 3rd person had left his phone at home. Now I could only hope and pray that no other woman falls prey to this guy (dark, medium built and height, name given Nitin, said belonging to MIDC police station)

Girls, Ladies, Women and even young boys beware! don't go frolicking out in the rain especially in the night, even if you are returning home from work or anywhere, see that you have a pick up don't start walking alone in the night thinking thodasa he toh hain. BE SAFE!

All of generalize and how!

Well! I too am guilty of it, but when it comes to the Men in Uniform I am not keen on slotting them into one general category. Here's proof of why I am right!

On 30th December 2015, as I rode my Activa towards the Oshiwara Pul on the S.V Road I was stopped by a raiding team for riding without a helmet!, I don't know why but I happened to glance towards the name plate and remembered only the 2nd part of the name as "Shaikh'!!

Traffic Constable Shaikh was if anything quiet apologetic that he had to stop me and in fact asked me if I would pay Rs.100/- the fine for travelling without a helmet. I promptly agreed and he was taken aback as he said they do not stop women riders/drivers as they either flee or get into an argument.

I replied since I knew the mistake is mine, I was definitely going to pay the fine. He wrote out the Receipt and handed it over to me, I wished him for the New Year! and off I went, nearing Ram Shyam /Jogeshwari Telephone exchange some thing made me check my sling bag for my licence and I couldn't find it!

The Next day 31st Dec 2015 I left late for work and at the point where the new East West bridge of Jogeshwari meets the S.V Road I chanced upon two Traffic Police personnel, I related the happening of the previous day and told them that all I remember that his name is "Shaikh' What luck they said he would be on duty at the Ram Shyam /Jogeshwari Telephone exchange signal so off I went!

Didn't see any Traffic cops at the signal so turned right towards the Jogeshwari Telephone exchange main gate, only to see a traffic cop enter the gate and get into the bldg, checked with the security and they said he would come out in a matter of moments, when he did not come I inquired again, to which one of the security personnel went inside to seek the Traffic cop and came out with a message that "Shaikh' had gone to a gallery nearby for some cellphone related work. I waited some more, after some time when the Taffic cop who had gone inside came out he told me see Shaikh is sitting there at the turning towards the S.V. Road I went to see and found a different person. I said this is not the Shaikh from yesterday! then they said then how do we know who it is, is he a rider or what. Nonetheless they guided me to the traffic office below the bridge near Andheri Rly stn. But me like any other citizen did not.

Today 11 Jan 2016 afternoon I was at the office lunch table and when I came back after lunch I saw a missed call from my Mai' when I called her back she said 'Shabeer Shaikh ' had come to return my Driving Licence!!! 

So you see Not all in the Police Force are bad, incompetent or heartless!

For several decades now the Bharatiya Janata Party has been shrill in its demand that Article 370, which grants special autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir, be scrapped. It has been a key political agenda for the BJP's ideological mentor the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS; rivals have attacked it. 

The BJP manifesto for the 2004 general elections had no reference to Article 370. But in 2009, the BJP's manifesto said, "Article 370 poses a psychological barrier for the full integration of the people of Jammu & Kashmir with the national mainstream. The BJP remains committed to the abrogation of this Article"

How Can Sai Baba a Fakir be a Hindu God/man?

Its a question being raised by the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati and rightfully so I would say, but like always my question is 'Why Now'? 

All along it was known that Sai Baba was a 'Fakir' which is a Muslim mystic/alm seeker. Then his statements or quiet often used phrases were 'Allah Maalik' and 'Sabka Maalik Ek' his attire his appearance was all that of a 'Fakir'  , yet the Hindus took to him with great affinity, revered him, built temples in his honour and so much so allocated a day of the week (Thursday) for him. (take a look at his original photographs here)

All along the Muslims could have very well fought for all rights to Sai Baba the Fakir, but not one of them did! (enlighten me if I have missed out on information in that direction). For that you have to give credit to them, considering what Shirdi key Sai Baba is worth in terms of Zar, Zevar, Zameen today!

So my dear Hindu bretheren today when the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati and his followers (Hindus)  object to the Worship of Shirdi Sai Baba by the Hindus , what are you going to do? considering  Today, the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust that runs Sai Babas place of worship at Shirdi is a mammoth organisation, employing more than 2,200 permanent employees and 4,000 contract employees is one of the richest shrines in the country, has ornaments and jewellery worth Rs 50,53 Crores and growing, (Check the Annual Reports of the Sansthaan here) tell the Muslims take your Fakir we have enough of our own Gods and Godmen/Godwomen?

Schools in Mumbai were sent a circular on Saturday, after MNS demanded four days of holidays for Ganeshotsav

Since when did MNS have anything to do with 'EDUCATION'?

An eleventh hour circular from the deputy director of education and the BMC education department left authorities of various schools in the city fuming (and what did they do about it?). According to the circular that was sent on Saturday, September 7, schools have been asked to give students four days of holidays (September 9-12) for Ganeshotsav. (oh! is that so?)

The circular suggests that schools reduce the number of holidays from their summer and Diwali vacations, and shift them to Ganeshotsav. The decision comes after workers from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), demanded that both Ganeshotsav and Christmas be given equal number of holidays. (But of course, they can do so in the SCHOOLS RUN, BUILT, SUPPORTED by them)  However, they had asked the education department to request schools to reduce the Christmas vacations and increase the number of holidays for Ganeshotsav.

Santosh Gangurde, vice President, MNS, said, “When schools can give so many holidays for Christmas, they can give the same for Ganeshotsav, as it is celebrated by almost everyone in Mumbai. (whose decision was it anyway? were the parents or the PTA consulted?) Hence, we requested the deputy director of school education and BMC education department to issue a circular to schools to adjust their holidays and give more holidays during Ganeshotsav.”

While it’s a holiday bonanza for the students, school authorities are displeased as the last-minute decision affects their academic schedule. They are in a conundrum as to how to communicate the same to the students, as the circular came on a weekend. Priyanka Rajani, principal, Vidyanidhi High School and Junior College, Vile Parle, said, “We plan our holidays in the month of May. We are yet to receive an official notification on the readjustment of holidays, but the education department should’ve sent it at least a month in advance.

We have a five-day Ganpati at school. Our children bring an eco-friendly idol and we have several competitions and awareness campaigns on the necessity of eco-friendly idols and how the environment is getting polluted due to non eco-friendly idols. They learn a lot in this festival, and during every festival, as we celebrate every festival in school. If we give a holiday during this period, how will the children learn about our culture and our festivals?” (oh! that's simple! send them to the MNS office/shakha, and do I need to tell you what they will learn there ahem!)

MP Sharma, Director, GD Somani School, Cuffe Parade, said, “We bring a Ganesh idol in our school premises. We have been giving holidays on the first day, the Gauri Visarjan day and the tenth day of visarjan for quite a long time. We cannot adjust these continuous holidays at the last moment now.” (woah! way to go Mr. Sharma, hope the others also took a leaf out of your conviction and courage)

Baptist Pinto, principal, St Mary’s High School (SSC board), Mazgaon, said, “We got the circular on Sunday, and hence, we couldn’t convey the same to our students. When they come on Monday, we will have to announce that they will be given holidays from Monday to Thursday, as per the circular.” The circular stands true for schools of all boards in the city of Mumbai. The deputy director of school education, NB Chavan, was unavailable for comment.

Support from outside - A very safe way, as in the event of anything going wrong, one can always say, I am the outsider so the blame is not on me. Its easier to sit on the shore and cirticize, difficult to swim in the currents and stay afloat. Whats with the Volte Face on the Politics/politicians. Har Bhook Hartal Kranti nahin hoti, har bhook hartaali Gandhi nahin hota! its high time Team IAC realises that. Who are they fighting the battle for? the very people who are used to greasing palms, just because they do not want to wait or get enough information about processes so as to ask a solid and strong WHY? when faced with delays. These very people who teach their children scoring marks and not ethics and principles. 

Jao Jao ye aam aadmi kab aapse palla jhaad dega aapko pata bhi nahin chalega, qunki, bhale he eenki door aapkey haath mein hain eenki ungli voting button par apni marzi sey he chalti hain!

Tho saavdhaan rahein aur satark rahein, Dastak zarur sunein, jaaney bach sakti hain (Thank you Samir Soni) aapki linen kahin bhi kabhi bhi fit hoti hain.

The Double Talk of both the Asses MNS & SS

On one hand a Morcha is called in support of the Mumbai (Maharashtra) Police and in the same breath the so called would be cartoonist (not that he himself is any better than one himself) Aar Tee / RST and to those who still haven't deciphered who it is - Raj Thackarey (more of a Khaaj I would say) when denied Permission by the same Police not just sayz but also goes ahead with the Morcha saying irrespective of the Police Permission he would go ahead with the Morcha - if this is not Double talk what is?

Now its the turn of the other asses the SS who are in control of the BMC and one hand have organised public meetings 'promising to protect' the citizens rights, on the other hand  to say there is no heritage value to Shivaji Park when the residents themselves differ in their opinion. Not only that they along with the MNSses are in no mood to listen to the majority of residents of Shivaji Park, who are keen on the area getting the heritage status. Double standards we say! what do you say?

Builders (Matoshree Realtors), Redevelopment, Lobby - does that ring a Bell loud enough?

RST (Raj Shrikant Thackeray) RUST in Peace!

Damn the subject or the headline!

What if the Fourth Estate were to simply block him. Would end a lot of woe and misery to many many more.

1) Police Women Molested in Mumbai on 11 August 2012 - doesn't it say a lot about the kind of constabulary we have around here? Sure goes to show what kind of training they have received? Doesn't need to be given much thought that they landed the job and reached there not because of their training and hardwork but some crisp greens (not the popeye kind) changing hands. And these Police women are to help maintain law and order!!!

2) Demand for Resignation of RR Patil and Arup Patnaik - the former closed the Dance Bars and now supports ACP Dhoble - so is that what is not liked by RST? and Commissioner Arup Patnaik - has made the constabulary and those to whom they report get on their feet and be up and about. So apparently even this is not liked by the RST you see in both the cases the Marathi Manoos is being made to work and the dear Nokri pahije Kaam nako dont like this one bit.

3) Holding a passport he said, "I found this passport at Azad Maidan on August 11. - well buddy what are the chances of it  that you did not plant it there yourself? worse still how can there not be a possibility that the hooliganism there was sponsored by you?

4) For Raj Thackeray this (today's 21st August 2012 - Morcha to Azad Maidan) is a political rally and reaffirmation of strength. Assembly elections in Maharashtra are less than two years away. ta daaaaaaaa!!!  does that ring a bell????

I wonder what is stopping RST from filing a simple PIL or for that matter how many PILs  RST or MNS has filed till date?

The Press & the media could do the city a favour, either publish his speech verbatim or not at all. This way those wanting to file PIL's can do so ASAP. At the same time RST cannot feign any memory losses of the derogatory speeches made by him.
